About Vacheron Constantin
Vacheron Constantin, founded in 1755, is the world's oldest watch manufacturer in continuous operation. As of 2026, the Maison is celebrating its 270th anniversary. 1755, 24-year-old master watchmaker Jean-Marc Vacheron signed a contract for his first apprentice, marking the brand's official start. In 1770, the company produced the world's first horological complication, followed by the first engine-turned dials in 1779. Abraham Vacheron and his son Jacques-Barthélemy Vacheron successfully navigated the company through the turbulent French Revolution.
