About Frederique Constant
Frédérique Constant was founded in Geneva in 1988 by Peter and Aletta Stas, with a vision for "accessible luxury" Swiss watches, launching its first collection in 1992 and its iconic Heart Beat model (with an open dial revealing the movement) in 1994, becoming known for in-house calibers and complex complications at reasonable prices, later acquiring Alpina (2002) and being bought by Citizen (2016) while continuing innovations like horological smartwatches and manufacture movements.
